CYS looks forward to the opportunity to coach your child and encourage them to become all that God created them to be!
Our sole objective is to lead athletes and their families to a Saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Cornerstone Youth Sports leagues and teams provide a safe, competitive, and distinctly Christian environment where kids can learn about sports and Christ through mentoring and instruction.
CYS offers 7on7 and Spring Tackle as a development and skills building season for athletes interested in preparing for the fall tackle season. It is an excellent introduction to youth football. Though we do play in a competitive league against the top competition in San Antonio, CYS focuses on the development of each athlete.
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD. Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face down on the ground. — 1 Samuel 17:45-49 —
If you have worked hard, then you have the confidence to play. If you are going to play, then you are fully equipped. Now it’s time to run. Attack every play, homework, test, or chore with a complete assurance that God is with you. Run quickly without hesitation towards the battle line. You have already won. Don’t hesitate.
