CYS Baseball is more than a competitive Christ centered program. It is a program dedicated to provide every boy a premier baseball experience.
CYS baseball program is for boys ages, 4–12. We aim to serve every child in the community and provide them a competitive and Christ-centered environment. In addition to on-field fundamentals, CYS uses baseball to strengthen participants’ self-esteem, confidence, and learn how to compete at a high quality level.
Our baseball league is for boys age 4-12 years old. We will focus on development and the fundamentals of baseball while also instilling sportsmanship and promoting teamwork. This program will build your child's self-confidence in a fun, Christ-centered, competitive environment.
This is for teams from an outside organization or group with a minimum of 10 players and maximum of 15. Team registration includes an 8 week season, as well as entry into 2 CYS Baseball Tournaments. CYS will cover all other expenses (field costs, security, concessions, overhead, etc.) Teams will NOT be provided a uniform, but you will be given a CYS patch that must be added to your uniform before week 1 (March, 2020). You will not be guaranteed practice time or free training from our paid trainers and coaches provided through CYS.
CYS DIRECTOR OF YOUTH BASEBALL
After relocating to San Antonio from Fort Worth in 2012, James and his wife, Nikki, have been active in coaching and supporting CYS since enrolling their two children, Victoria and Jackson.
James has been active in the San Antonio area USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) and select baseball tournaments since 2016. He has a large vision for CYS Baseball, which includes developing each player mentally, physically and spiritually. He wants to develop character traits and skills to succeed both on and off the ball diamond, irrespective of the child’s current social, economic or family situation. The goal is to drive for excellence in every aspect of the game, and to model Jesus’ example by coaching each player where they can “…grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52)
